CONGRATULATIONS to my students Sarah H. and Kathryn T. who were selected to the 2010 All-Virginia Band!

Sarah H. was first chair clarinet in the 2010 Loudoun County District 16 All-District band, and was one of only two clarinets selected for the 2009 North Central Virginia Senior Regional Orchestra!

Chloe B. was accepted to the 2009-10 Youth Orchestra of Fairfax and the 2009-10 Washington Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra!

Han B. and William K. were selected for the 2009-10 Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra!

Chloe B. was selected for the 2010 Fairfax District 12 All-District Band, and Kathryn T. was selected for the 2010 Fairfax District 11 All-District Band!

Han B., Sarah H., William K. and Jun L. were selected for the 2010 Loudoun County District 16 all-district band!

Interlochen Arts Academy Summer Music Programs:

Christine C. was accepted and attended the High School Division summer program.
Frank P. was accepted and attended two Intermediate Division summer programs.

Clari-Camp:

Han B., Chloe B. and Sarah H. attended the Levine School's Clari-Camp. Chloe B. and Sarah H. were selected to perform in a master class taught by Sidney Forrest.

VBODA Graded Clarinet Music Update:

Since I was appointed as the VBODA Designated Clarinet Special Editor in 2008, I have worked very hard to update the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association database of graded clarinet solos and ensembles. As an unpaid volunteer, I graded and added over 500 new works that clarinet students in the state of Virginia can choose to perform at Solo and Ensemble Festivals and competitions. I welcome input from other Virginia clarinet teachers, so please feel free to contact me at info@theclarinetstudio.net with suggestions for additional new works you would like to see added to the VBODA clarinet list.
